Gabrielle Cleveland, MSW, LSWAIC
Licensed Social Work Associate–Independent Clinical
Gabrielle Cleveland holds a Master of Social Work degree from Pacific Lutheran University and brings a diverse background in crisis intervention, healthcare, advocacy, and military service to her work as a therapist.
Gabrielle’s passion for helping others is rooted not only in her professional experiences but also in her own life journey. Through personal experiences with grief, adversity, and significant life transitions, she developed a deeper understanding of how life’s challenges can shape us. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career where she could help others feel supported, understood, and empowered during some of their most difficult moments.
Her professional experience includes working in emergency department settings, where she has supported youth and adults experiencing mental health crises, suicidal thoughts, trauma, grief, and other significant life challenges. Her background in advocacy has also strengthened her commitment to treating individuals with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Gabrielle enjoys working with adolescents and adults who are navigating depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and emotional challenges. She believes that our life experiences, relationships, and environments play an important role in shaping how we see ourselves and the world around us. At the same time, she recognizes that every person carries unique strengths, even when life’s challenges make those strengths difficult to see.
Her therapeutic philosophy centers on helping clients better understand how their experiences have shaped them while also discovering and building upon the strengths they already possess. Gabrielle believes that healing is not about ignoring the past, but rather understanding its impact, recognizing our capacity for growth, and finding ways to move forward with greater confidence and self-awareness.
Her approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, cultural awareness, and trauma-informed care. She strives to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace.
Gabrielle views therapy as a collaborative journey, where clients are encouraged to explore their experiences, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen their sense of self, and create meaningful change in their lives. Above all, she hopes that every person she works with feels heard, valued, and reminded that they do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone.
Outside of the therapy room, Gabrielle enjoys playing cards, working out, listening to music, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with her friends and family. She is a proud mother of two daughters and enjoys spending time with her fiancé.
